Many towns, land trusts, nature centers, and public land agencies are looking for ways to engage with the public on conserved lands. You can help by leading nature walks on lands in your community.
A fun and interactive volunteer training on Friday, September 29, 2017 will provide you with the basics of planning and executing a guided walk of your own. Participants in this free training should be willing to commit to leading at least one outdoor event in the subsequent 12 months as part of the Speaking for Wildlife program. You can do it! It’s easy, it’s fun, and we promise you’ll feel prepared after this workshop! Volunteers from any and all programs or affiliations are welcome at the training sponsored by UNH Cooperative Extension and the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests:
